The Housedean Half & 10K – Event Information
Welcome to the official event information page for the Housedean Half Marathon & 10K.
We're delighted you'll be joining us for a fantastic day of trail running in the beautiful South Downs. Please take a few minutes to read through the information below before race day. This page contains everything you need to know, from arrival and parking information to race timings, facilities, aid stations and race-day support.

Arrival & Parking
The Event Village will open from 7:30am.
We strongly recommend arriving between 7:30am and 8:15am to allow sufficient time for parking, using facilities, dropping bags, and getting ready for your race.
Parking will be available on-site and managed by our event team and parking marshals.
As you approach the venue, keep an eye out for our South Coast Race Series directional signs, which will guide you safely into the event parking areas.
Please follow all instructions from parking marshals and drive carefully when entering and leaving the venue.
Travelling from Brighton
Follow the A27 eastbound towards Lewes. After passing the University of Sussex and the American Express Stadium, continue along the A27 and follow our South Coast Race Series signage into Housedean Farm.
Travelling from Lewes
Follow the A27 westbound towards Brighton and look out for South Coast Race Series signage directing you into the venue.

Please note that some sat nav systems may occasionally direct drivers incorrectly near the venue. Once you begin seeing South Coast Race Series signage, please follow the event signs.
Race Day Timetable
7:30am – Event Village Opens
7:30am – Registration & Race Support Opens
7:30am – Bag Drop Opens
8:45am – Half Marathon Starts
9:00am – 10K Starts
Please ensure you are ready and positioned near the start area at least 5 minutes before your race begins.
Race Numbers & Registration
All runners should arrive with their race bib already attached to the front of their running vest or top.
If you have any issues regarding your race entry, race number, or event information, our Race HQ team will be available from 7:30am to assist.
Bag Drop
A secure bag drop facility will be available from 7:30am and will remain open until the final runner has finished.
The bag drop is located next to Race HQ within the Event Village.
Please avoid leaving valuables in your bags wherever possible. While every effort will be made to keep belongings secure, items are left entirely at the owner's risk.
Course Information
The Housedean Half Marathon and 10K showcase some of the most stunning scenery the South Downs has to offer.
Expect a mixture of:
South Downs Way trails
Farm tracks
Open countryside
Rolling hills
Panoramic views across Sussex
Please remember that these are trail running events and terrain can vary depending on weather conditions.
We recommend suitable trail footwear where possible.

Aid Stations & Hydration
Aid stations will be positioned at key points along the course and will provide water for participants.
Additional water and refreshments will be available within the finish area.
Please arrive well hydrated and consider carrying your own hydration if you expect to be out on the course for an extended period.

Medical Support
Medical cover will be provided throughout the event.
A dedicated medical team will be based within the Event Village, with additional support available along the course where required.
If you feel unwell before, during or after the race, please notify a marshal, volunteer or member of the medical team immediately.

Once you've crossed the finish line, please continue moving through the finish funnel and follow instructions from volunteers.
Spectators
Friends, family members and supporters are very welcome.
Please remember that parts of the course are located on public trails and countryside routes. We encourage spectators to support responsibly and follow any instructions from event staff.

The South Downs National Park is an incredible place to run and we ask all participants to help us protect it.
